Monday - Queen Elizabeth's Funeral - school has stated class will start at 8:38 NOT at 8:40 in order to make up the time lost from this event.
Tuesday - reading and annotating short story "The Powder Blue " by Kurt Vonnegut Jr.
Wednesday - looked at motif and theme - students listed all the motifs they found in the short story
Thursday - engaged in THEME which is a complete sentence that explains what he/she/they are revealing through their writing.
Friday - now that we have the concept of Theme as a statement, we can move into the Literary Analysis Paragraph! Today is also the Terry Fox Run - good times walking around the big LOOP for Terry!
